A defining characteristic of the Multitubo system is that a single MLCP pipe platform supports five distinct connection technologies. This eliminates the need to specify different pipe materials for different jointing methods within one project — simplifying procurement, reducing inventory, and giving installers the flexibility to choose the optimal connection for each location.

Five Connections on One Pipe

All Multitubo connection methods are designed for use on the same multilayer composite pipe:

  • METAL press fittings — traditional brass press connections for permanent, high-strength joints.
  • PPSU press fittings — polymer press fittings for elevated-temperature applications.
  • Welded fittings — electrofusion-welded connections for maximum joint integrity.
  • METAL push fittings — tool-free brass push connections for rapid installation.
  • PPSU push fittings — polymer push connections for service and maintenance zones.

This unified approach means that a commercial project can use press-fit in apartment branches, welding in plant room headers, and push-fit at equipment connections — all on the same pipe stock.

Size Ranges by Connection Type

Each connection technology covers specific diameter ranges matched to typical application contexts:

  • METAL press — 16 to 110 mm, the widest range for risers, mains, and branch distribution.
  • PPSU press — 16 to 63 mm, suited to heating circuits and DHW branches.
  • Welded — up to 75 mm, for high-integrity permanent joints in plant rooms and mains.
  • G2 press — 16 to 32 mm, next-generation multi-profile brass press with 360° inspection.
  • Push-fit (metal and PPSU) — complementary ranges for service connections and renovation work.

Press-Fit Technology Advantages

Press-fit connections create permanent mechanical joints by compressing a fitting onto the pipe with a calibrated press tool. Key advantages include:

  • Visual verification — G2 fittings include 360° inspection windows for press confirmation.

G2 Kiwa Certification

The G2 Brass Press Fitting System has been independently certified by Kiwa, confirming compliance with European quality standards for press-fit plumbing connections. Kiwa certification provides third-party validation of:

  • Material composition and lead-free brass suitability for drinking water.
  • Mechanical strength and leak-tightness under pressure and temperature cycling.
  • Compatibility with specified press profiles (U, TH, H, RFz).
  • Long-term durability under simulated service conditions.
